The Paralympics in Beijing in 2008 will be the first to go down in history and mark the beginning of a new age.

The latest Paralympics in Athens in 2004 and Torino in 2006 set new standards. We saw a steep improvement in achievements. Public interest has never been so great. Despite this the Paralympic sport is still a long way from its zenith. The Paralympics in Beijing in 2008 will be the first to go down in history and mark the beginning of a new age. All the authorities involved are working continually and as partners in order to create the necessary prerequisites to get this sport the attention it deserves.
Since we began to support the Summer and Winter Games in Seoul 1988 as Service Provider an increasing number of interpersonal contacts have been made between athletes, officials and our company. In the meantime our technicians have become great fans of the Paralympics and feel as if they were competing themselves.
The Paralympics are at the center of the international sport-sponsoring concept of the MedTech company Otto Bock. Our subsidiaries in 36 countries play an active part. Our efforts are aimed at the success of the athletes. The partnership contract that was signed in November 2005 in Beijing with the International Paralympic Committee made us an official Member of the Paralympic Movement and forms a solid basis for the further cooperation in the future.
